Frequently Asked Questions

General Information

Rallies are unique to Southwest—this tradition began in 1985 with the original Message to the Field. The Southwest Rally is an opportunity for Employees to gather together and hear from Bob Jordan on where we’re going as a Company, engage with other Senior Leaders, connect with Fellow Employees, and have fun while enjoying food, drinks, entertainment, and games at the Rally Party. Each city will feature unique on-stage content and party experiences.

2024 Rally Schedule:

  • Thursday, February 1 – DAL (Globe Life Field)
  • Wednesday, February 7 – MCO (Dr. Phillips Center)
  • Tuesday, February 20 – SAN (San Diego Convention Center)

Each in-person and virtual Rally Program will run from 2:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. (local time), followed by an in-person Rally Party until 6:30 p.m.

Yes! The entire Rally Program in each city will stream live the Virtual Hub on this event site. The recording will also be available after the event. Registration is required with your WNCO email address to watch the event live or on-demand. If you plan on tuning in virtually as a group (in a break room, conference room, etc.) we ask that you still register individually so that we know you're joining us.

Selecting the cities for the Southwest Rallies is a tough decision. It’s based on a variety of factors—flight schedules (to offer Employees options to use nonrev privileges to attend), attendance at previous events, weather, workgroup representation, region, Local Employee engagement and support, and overall city attraction.

The Rally Program and Party (including food and drink) are provided to our Employees for free! Hotels, transportation, and other expenses are the attendee’s responsibility.

Registration

Absolutely! Contractors and Interns are welcome to attend on their own time and should work with their Leaders on scheduling. If a Contractor or Intern has technical difficulties registering, reach out to SWACulture@wnco.com for assistance.

Retirees can also attend virtually or in person and should email SWACulture@wnco.com to register.

In order to manage the capacity for each event and to ensure that all of our Cohearts are given priority to attend, no external guests are allowed to attend Rally. Rest assured, families and friends will be invited to other Company events throughout the year, but Rally will be an internally-focused celebration.

To attend in person or virtually, registration is required with your WNCO email address. If you have technical difficulties when registering, email SWACulture@wnco.com.

Accurate registration numbers are crucial to planning and help us keep costs low—from knowing how many seats to have available during the Program to how much food and beverage to order. Please register as soon as possible! If you plan on tuning in virtually as a group (in a break room, conference room, etc.) we ask that you still register individually so that we know you're joining us.

While we hope you can make it, we understand schedules change. Please modify your registration to let us know. By having the most accurate attendance numbers, we are able to plan accordingly and keep costs low.

Absolutely, and we would love for you to bring your Southwest Cohearts with you! Be sure to register for each Rally so we can plan accordingly.
